Read, research. For Salvadorans west to central, it would be the Pipil indigenous people, and from the East part (Usulutan, and closer to Honduras) it would be Lencas. Knowledge is power when claiming indigenous roots.

Be proud of being brown and being indigenous. Latino/Hispanic are colonial terms. Even the languages we speak today, English/Spanish come from colonialism. I wish we could learn more about our Native American roots.

I’ve reached out to Vanessa regarding learning Nawat and supporting our nahua sister community 🇳🇮🇸🇻 Anyone interested in learning nawat! Classes are free! They help elders teach the language. It’s 2024! we can still save central american indigenous languages from going fully extinct.

He looks like the typical Mexican, Guatemalan, Salvadoran person with indigenous features. He is handsome in my opinion. But sadly in those countries, they see being indigenous looking as "bad"

Ya'et'eh I'm 1 💯% native american apache nahua male southern arizona mexico And el Salvador is home to the 1 💯% native american pipil aka nahua tribe and mayans from el Salvador looking at him he definitely has pipil I thought he was aztec from looking at him the reason for this is pipil and aztecs their related the pipil came from mexico from the nahua a long time ago and eventually became the ancestor of most salvadorians since they mostly descend from pipil their still around aka they exist still in el salvador!

That’s the problem. Your trying to represent something that doesn’t even exist to validate your claim of it. You are clearly American and no amount research and practice will over shadow how American you are. Let the past be the past.

I don’t know where this idea comes from that native Americans disappeared in these countries.

How in the fk are you going to call yourself a brown panther and talk down on a Chicano reclaiming his indigenous identity? If reclaiming indigenous identity isn't brown pride, then nothing is. The Chicano movement is based on our indigenous roots. You are lost in your own mind and perception of your people, and that is more dangerous than a white supremacist who openly wants to hang our people. I would prefer to shake hands with the enemy who stands for theirs than the enemy within that stands against us.

I got results from New Mexico, Southern Colorado, Chihuahuha, and West Texas. I was able to find some traces to the Puebloan Tribes in the north but my family in Mexico was from Coahuila, Durango, and Guanajuato while my dna says Northeastern Chihuahua/Chihuahua so I'm so confused.
