As I shop for a "camper van"...I've joined many of the brand Facebook pages for direct info from owners. I am STUNNED at the number of people that posts their list of 20-50 things WRONG with the initial build including the cabinets actually falling off the walls, door/wall frames pulling away from the actual vehicle. The photos that capture this is mind boggling. And these Class B's cost $80,000-$150,000. I'm wondering now if it would be better to just buy a new Cargo Van and have a quality build by a 3rd party rather than from a dealer where the brands are thrown together without much of a standard of quality the past 18 months.

There are videos on KZitem of people buying old used vans (Econoline usually) then build out the inside themselves. Some people even pay to convert them to 4x4. Jason with Primal Outdoors did that with his van. Although the 4x4 conversion costs more than the used van did so if you don't care about 4x4, more savings.

Love seeing the Class B and B+. Matt, you need to do more RV traveling in a Class B. Sorry, but for the first time I have to disagree with you in that a good Class B is certainly for 21+ days of travel. My wife and I have done 4 week and 6 week trips from East coast to West coast visiting National Parks and absolutely did NO staying in hotels. The 2015 Winnebago ERA on MB Sprinter chassis was FANTASTIC! It even had toilet and black and gray tanks, along with large fresh water tank. Only reason we traded it in, was that we wanted a bigger RV to have others sleep in our coach with us.

I'm about 6'2" tall so a 72" bed (6') wouldn't cut it. When our kids were small we had a popup camper which allowed everyone to sleep comfortably. EKKO was my favorite and I have three likes/dislikes for the EKKO: Likes: 1) Construction - No slide outs + insulation + twin awnings. 2) Twin beds 3) Solar charging capacity & options, but needs higher inverter capacity Dislikes: 1) Cassette toilet - get me a black water tank. 2) Take out all propane from kitchen - induction cooktop + convection microwave + compressor fridge 3) Need version 1 or 2 feet longer please to add space to bathroom and sitting area. Tiffin CAHABA was my least favorite.

Finally starting to see more dual use of the bathroom space. But I think they'd do better, instead of shelves, to make those enclosed bins. Easier to remove without everything falling off the shelf. Also for the bathroom, Coachman Beyond is a perfect example of what a space-killer it is to put a sink in there. If they must, make it a fold down, but no one needs two sinks in space that small. Just bleach clean if it bothers you to wash bathroom hands where you cook.

Love the Pleasure Way Toffino. As a single retired traveler it is a perfect fit for me and my small dog. With campground, national health club membership and a porta pottie I can make do without a bathroom. Looking at the windows on the Winnebago Ekko, do they all have the ability to open, and have screens. It looks like some of them slide open etc. I like to open a window to hear nature etc especially at night. Also it looks like it has multiple exits in case of an emergency. I think I saw on some reviews that it had side cameras, backup cameras, lane assist and other sensors. Can you guys go over safety driving features when you guys do reviews. I liked the Winnebago Ekko the best, because of the bathroom conversion to a wet bath!!! That is an AWESOME & sensible 2 in 1 bathroom design “first”, and a WIN-WIN for Winnebago. The bed area looks roomy, and the passenger seats are out of the way to move freely about the cabin space. I did not like the one that did not have a dedicated bathroom space, but a port-o-potty to store for use when needed, like a bucket & toilet seat set on it, lol!

like the Ekko with the pop-top for the kids. I want a bathroom, so the ones with none, don't do it for me. My perfect class B would be a Storyteller with a real bathroom.
