Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - More than 4,100 students are taking the stage this weekend, graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
"We are here to celebrate a graduate; we’ve got a graduate," said Monica Soyemi. She and her mother, Renee Mitchell, traveled from NYC to celebrate.
"I actually missed my graduation in my undergrad," said Arya Girisha-Rao, an RIT Masters graduate. "I’m super excited for this."
Leading up to their college degrees, many students experienced quarantine, isolation, COVID testing, and remote learning, when being closer than six feet from anyone was the norm for months.
Adapting to change earned this class the name "Class of Resiliency."
