You seem to know your stuff. Did you figure the Amp. out

It's the factory motor and how it was made. Poor quality parts. Unfortunately, the customer couldn't afford a better motor, so I recommended only using 9.6v batteries to keep the amperage down until he could get a better motor installed.

I think with those mp5, they will never sound as great as some others as I think the angle of the pistol grip going into the gearbox is a tiny bit off and that makes it a little less efficient than other things A great sounding combo I’ve found, is a ZCI bevel with an shs o type pinion, I’ve found the zci bevels have slightly deeper teeth than the shs ones so you get more contact with the pinion (the shs o type being quite wide as well compared to others), this has sounded pretty great, about 90 percent as good as a lonex spiral

Great info! I so happen to have plenty of ZCI 9 tooths in stock. I currently use Lonex spiral bevel/pinion for most builds that I do for customers.

@@wyshtechairsoft I would definitely use more lonex spiral stuff, but it’s hard to justify the merits of them to the people I do tech work for, also a lot of them want warhead, and putting an O-type on a warhead is a massive pain lol

@Archie Keen I agree, but I usually manage to convince my customer base with having a smooth cycling airsoft rifle. I even put the Lonex on the Warheads I sell. Granted, I take it completely apart to press fit the pinion on, but the result is always worth it. Check out my latest KZitem short on the Echo1 P90 I just did it, too. BARELY hear the gearset.

You cant as its part of the entire assembly. You can get a MP5 specific attachment. Not sure where to look but ive seen them. I think EVIKE has something.

Found something for ya, www.evike.com/products/113597/ The flash hiders on these are usually held in by a set screw on the sight post which also requires disassembly of the sight post too.
