Photos of classic Austin cars, vans, lorries & pickups make up this 130-photo collection of vintage & classic Austins. I learnt to drive in a Tartan Red Austin Mini estate from 1966, then took my test in our 1960 A40 Farina Mk1 at the end of 1987, after which I ran this classic 1960s Austin for several years and it remains with me today. So I have a close affinity with the classic cars of Longbridge, Birmingham.
All the aged Austins featured were photographed by myself, usually at classic car shows, road runs and motor museums over the last few years, and all being well I've included a mixture of the most popular Austins in preservation today (Minis, A30s, A35s, A40s, Cambridges etc) with some rarities, such as the A30 convertible prototype, pre-war 10/4 Ripley Sports tourers, A35 pickup, the Austin 7 Swallow, and many more.
In this video you'll find one or more of the following classic Austins:

Inevitably there will be some of these classic British cars that didn't make it into this set of photographs, I apologise if I missed out your favourite Austin (please let me know in the comments if this is the case), but as a collection they cover the early days of brass-era cars, through into the 1920s and 1930s, then the post-war late 1940s. New models came thick and fast as the 1950s and 1960s rolled into being, some of which carried on in production well into the 1970s and, in the Mini's case, even beyond that.
