I do believe this is all a poorly made scenario... Bernie is not really a car guy, only a bossy old-timer who like metals on 4 wheels, and that Mario guy is even weirder.. This is the second episode I watched, and I will not watch it ever again if it was not because of the cars the are trying to restore...

They could never get 22,000 quid for this car. It would have to be original, immaculate, and very low miles. The 3.2 is a mid 80's engine, the front bumper is a RUF replica, those wheels are not Fuchs and the tail belongs on a turbo. They didnt even respray with the original color..Porsche collectors dont like that....It goes to show you, dont believe everything you see on tv.........They lost a ton of money on this car!

This show makes no sense, for 1 thing the 3 week time limit they create was self imposed so there was actually no reason for them to rush around, act panicked, or start yelling at each other about missing a dead line. Another thing is that they never did any kind of rebuild on the engine or transmission so I don't think you can consider this car restored, it is just a used car that has had body and interior work done.
@genre926

Meaning that Jaguar really was as problem-prone as was rumored? Anyway, I love the orange. Those little cars never impressed me. Always looked weak and impotent. But in the orange, the car has presence. As an Eldorado-sized guy, though, I'm not keen to do anything other than to LOOK AT a Porsche. I'd love a '72 Eldo in Sapphire with white vinyl interior
