Looks amazing! My favourite thing to top a deviled egg is of course paprika (smoked in my case) but also I like to stick in one French's fried onion. It adds a little crunch which is so nice with the soft eggs. But I'm definitely going to try out the pickles!

I like to also add some pickled jalapeños and a spash of a vinegar hot sauce for a little kick. I will also use hot Hungarian paprika on top. The easiest peeling, method I've found is steaming the eggs. 5 minutes in the instant pot, 5 minutes natural release and then the ice bath

Just wanted to take a minute to thank you. I have used your hard boiled egg recipe for years, shared it with my daughter-in-law and now she uses it. I am the one who gets asked to bring deviled eggs to all family events, along with my mac-salsd, but that's another story. The cracking the eggs before the ice bath is new from the decade old version you gave us, can't wait to try. Also want to thank you for all the dessert recipes that I have been able to take to my life-group at church, never had a fail, the dry roasted peanut clusters has been a group favorite for years. One in the group just had her 50th birthday party, got to make a batch just for her. Thanks again for all the tips and recipes you have shared over the years. P.S. ]I like to push my egg yolks through a strainer, makes my filling creamier with less clumps

Nah, no ice water needed. 1) Keep eggs cold in fridge 2) Bring water to full boil 3) Gently place COLD eggs into BOILING water... GENTLY!! 4)!Boil 13 minutes. 5) Drain, and run COLD WATER over them; until cool enough to handle. 6) Peel under stream of cold water. DONE!

I like to try different seasonings but I avoid Pickle relish and spicy touches. I’ll add bleu cheese crumbles to the mixture of mayo and Dijon mustard, and then top with fresh bacon pieces. Solid winner at every function!

We have our own chickens and if you're not getting your eggs from the supermarket, but from your own hens or perhaps fresh from a neighbor that has hens, I think it's very important to know to let your eggs sit for a while before using them. I'd say at least let them sit for a week. This is because super fresh eggs will NEVER peel right or easy, no matter how you cook them or peel them. My mom's recipe for deviled eggs is legendary in our family (it actually comes very close to this one 😁) and whenever we plan on making them, we make sure to put aside a dozen eggs or so, about 10 days before we need them. They always peel perfectly then. We actually use the same cooking method as Laura does here and can confirm it's foolproof 👌👌 I am definitely going to have to try them with the pickles next time 🤤
