Or better...just put the original show on Disney Plus...and put it on dvd/blu-ray. Doesn't need a remake tho.

I can remember when Disney had free weekends for people who had cable. I loved this show and could only watch it during that preview. The first few seasons were the best.

Disney Channel needs to have good shows like Avonlea, not the crappy ones they have now.

Who is that disney channel narrator? He's one of the reasons that made this the True Disney Channel.

Wow, does this bring back memories! I loved watching Avonlea every week on the Disney Channel back in these times and remember this very commercial. I agreed with Sarah in her mood at 0:10 because ever since the beginning of the first season I thought Hetty was nothing short of emotionless (though she is seen to be different at various times throughout the series). Oddly Hetty is confronted again about her self-centered personality by Olivia in this commercial at 0:49. Christopher Reeve who is introduced as one of the guest stars apparently had a talent for horseback riding (which he elaborates on in an interview which can be seen on the third season DVD) which tragically backfired years after acting in Avonlea leading to a condition which ultimately ended his life! As for the other co star I can't tell you the shock I felt to see the actor known for his role as Dr. Brown on Back to the Future on Avonlea! His character on the show was an eccentric type who could very well have been an early twentieth century relative of Dr. Brown's I think! If only the Disney Channel featured the same content today as it did way back then I'd still be watching it. So that's the sentiment I feel when observing this promo. These child actors are of my generation too and I just can't acknowledge how much older we've gotten!

The Best Show Ever on the Disney Channel. I told my friend that lots of them in today have become crap and too childish. She says because i have grown up but she is wrong. Its not because of that, its because missed out one of the best shows that no one knew called AVONLEA (winning a lot of awards with great quest star actors that won emmy's which not heard not much at all in other disney shows).
