Here's another South Florida throwback to 2011 on the CSX Miami Sub in Pompano Beach, back when F40s ruled Tri-Rail, and Amtrak horns were well tuned. We begin with a northbound Tri-Rail shoved by an Operation Lifesaver F40PHL-2 as it crosses Race Track Rd in Pompano Beach. Later at the same spot, we see a fast southbound Tri-Rail led by ex-Amtrak F40PH-2C 811 as its loud K5LA horn pierces the air! Shortly after, we see southbound Amtrak P091-27, the Silver Star, with one of the top K5LAs in the Amtrak Genesis fleet, as it crawls over Race Track Rd. Not long after, we see southbound Amtrak P097-27, moving a bit faster as it blasts a solid sounding K5 at the crossings. Next, we see a northbound Tri-Rail with a weird sounding squeaking K5LA. Finally, we see a southbound Tri-Rail with an F40PHL-2 in the lead.
