Excellent work mate great progress, that detox gel looks impressive! Nice job on the repair panels, I’d recommend Get yourself a cobblers anvil, I used one to help me shape panels.

Ah this looks a very familiar boot repair! Looks like you have a great result. I'd advise a quick test of the rear subframe before you repair the heel board ends to confirm the rear mount location 👍

Two questions: 1) where do I get a doorbell like that from 2) was it tea or “hard tea” aka whiskey haha Keep up the good work man! Ps that gel looks like it works a treat, is it similar to rust converter? Can’t say I’ve ever seen or heard of it down under 🤔

Thanks for watching! The videos take a long time so it is cool to get some comments The doorbell is a 1 off I’m afraid lol The deox gel is very good, it draws the rust out of the area so you can use it multiple times on 1 area, I did use it on another video on a bracket that I modified 👍🏻🚀

Lol your garage reminds me of mine, cars on axle stands covered in deox gel and welding 😂 the deox gel is good stuff but it can be a bit tedious when you need to apply it multiple times on some areas.

Take a look at Fitzee's youtube channel where he shows you how to make panels and repair car bodies to virtually invisible repairs . I haven't seen him use filler so far. I have learnt at lot from Fitzee.

Fitzee is very good but he even says himself most of his repairs will need at least some filler, it’s almost impossible to get zero warping.

@@bendude6748 This is very true, but he seems to be the closest I've seen to minimising filler. He has also been doing it for decades and I always learn something, even from the tools and clamps he uses. I like his explanations as to why he does things too. Even grinding the welds can cause warping too. Slowly slowly with the heat on thin steel. Its almost artistic.

@@awalk5177 yeah for sure he definitely knows what he’s doing it’s kinda amazing what he can get done in one of his videos, what he can do in a day would take me weeks lol

@@bendude6748 I am hoping to practice some of these techniques because I do think it needs practice. Great fun though.
