Well the engine bay is uncluttered and clean, interesting to see overall how the new ignition system works out. Wheels.. steelies, are awesome, almost missed the chrome on the outside faces. Not sure about the long studs, but they do have racing history. The gold oil cooler lines make a nice contrast and gives a 60's chronograph look with the overall look and finish when looked from a few feet away, leave them unpainted. Looks good Will, do it the way you want it. Can't wait to see the rest..😉

Good stuff Will! That engine bay looks so clean. Loving the rest of the touches being done. ONLY because you ask your viewers their opinions, BUT the 16" profile/tires seems slightly big in the video to me? I like the steely look; however, 15" chrome petal Fuchs always look "right" on early cars. Sort of like Cup 1'a on a 964! Wheels are one of those subjective choices that only matter to the owner though! You like them and that's what matters in the end. 🙂 Can't wait to see future driving vids. You're one fortunate dude!

First off to answer the title question no, IMO for for a long hood ohhh yeah. It's hard to beat the unsprung weight savings of a forged aluminum/magnesium alloy. I have the Gp4 Campy's and love them, but I'm glad I have a real set of Fuchs 7s and 8s for my G Body as well. The engine bay, the air cleaners and the tidinesses looks fantastic! The gauges and seats are going to be awesome! I really love the period correct style of the wheels. The oil cooling lines are a personal taste as far as the finish goes. I’d prefer them black, but that’s my taste. I only have one concern, and that’s how low the lines are positioned. Do you have any concerns about debris hitting them, or a low driveway/ speed bump striking them? They seem quite low (about 2”) below the rockers. Gorgeous colour by the way! Blues are my favourite colour on any Porsche!

I get where you're going on those wheels the fuchs are definitely played out, and I would want something more unique as well. Would be cool if there was a more bronze colored magnesium wheel choice. Also either a center cap or something that somewhat hides the exposed five lug. I'm all about oil coolers and performance, but those oil cooler lines do not look right. For one they're running right behind the front wheel which is going to kick up stones. I would personally prefer a very high quality black AN style hoses, and tuck it for a super clean look. If there is just no room to do that then I would definitely have to paint them matte black to hide. Those oil cooler pipes reminds me of the copper pipes connected to my hot water heater in the basement. A good choice on those fixed back seats. Next on your list take the car to a custom interior shop to have a custom boot made to cover up that shifter base. Can do a custom pattern to kind of set off the interior and make it a little bit more personalized. The base of that shifter takes away from the interior imo. Don't mean to sound like I'm bashing your car as it's a super cool car... just if you're asking that's what I'm saying. It is your car and your money, and keep doing what you're doing I'll still be here to watch🏁

@@DJ_Driven shockingly they don’t have problems often. I have run them exposed on my car for over 5 years and my car has been Offroad on almost every rally I’ve been on. Lots of track time too. I often run the lightweight black oil lines on cars without coolers and planned to do that on this car too, but the Elephant lines are sexy and Will dug them so that’s what we went with.

@@LeftCoastErik that's good to know rally would definitely test it out. I personally would prefer to go with a hidden tucked under the chassis look for a super clean look. It's just my opinion that everybody has different tastes which I can appreciate. Cars looking good I'm excited to see what you guys accomplish next 🔧🏁
