How can we customize the standard web parts instead of just putting them to our web page as is?

Just click the pencil icon to the left of the web part and you can do some additional settings. Anything requires custom coding

hello, how do you open a new tab in the quick links web part, I think it doesn't have that option. Would you know how to create a quick links webpart, but when you click the link it opens a new tab??

No, it does not have that option. I believe it automatically opens in a new tab if it is an external link

@@SharePointMaven I understand, thank you but we don't have this possibility, because the pages will only be internal for authenticated users

Hi. When i started working with Sharepoint last year, I used to see the Apps list (like what you show on classic, but though i was on Modern). Now when i click add app, it comes with a Store? I was trying to find the option to Create a Picture Library but cannot find that anywhere, is that because it's been removed? THank you

Picture Library is still there, kind of hidden inside classic apps. Microsoft changes things around there, if you want to access classic apps, have to click a few times. that said, I would just use a regular doc library for pictures, no need to use Picture Library in my opinion.

We just switched from SP2016 to 2019. Previously I could upload a picture and hyperlink it. How is this accomplished in 2019 on a modern page? I tried the quicklinks but the box is small for pictures with no flexibility for size.

I only focus on SharePoint Out of the box and do not deal with code
