Lovely. First time hearing for me. So, thank you very very much. Sounds like another great lullaby, although very dark.

Took me a long time to figure out they had this song + Patterns in the Ivy II. Wish they had them on Spotify and my vinyl/CDs. Best I can do is add them locally to Spotify :(

Why do Opeth release so many versions of their albums? Never heard this song before, it's not on any of the versions I have on the shelf. Loads of bonus tracks on many of my other Opeth albums.

They have a lot of bonus tracks, almost like Easter eggs. When you find them, it’s really special. Patterns of sky 2, this song, Face in the snow, Pyre, the Ward, are a few hidden gems if you haven’t heard them before.,

When I first discovered Opeth I would play all their songs on random not knowing where one ended and the next began. I would just let it play and drift.

I think you should do Damnation which is the album after Deliverance, in fact both Deliverance and Damnation were supposed to be a double album but the label didn’t allow i, so they were at the same time. Deliverance being the really aggressive metal album and Damnation being the melancholic one.
