A lot of items in Charity shops never hit the various sales outlets/sitesVolunteers usually volunteer to expand their own collections.Hence the small on site amount of collectables

With Decca the matrix numbers are everything. They tell you who mastered them and when. When matters because of changes in the mastering chain

Just had a rare good haul from a local Charity Shop, including ASD655, Elgar, Jaqueline Du Pre and Janet Baker, original 1965 recording; M2X 45564, Kleiber New Year’s Concert 1989; DG 135087, Wagner; ASD2906, Elgar Cello Concerto, Paul Tortelier; ASD2422, Vaughan Williams, Santa Civitas and a few others. 12 records in total, cost just £4! Best haul in ages, by far. It wasn’t Oxfam!

It is a good haul for a charity shop though still a bit boring.

@@LPCLASSICAL , there's always plenty of organ music in my local charity shops, someone near here must have been a fan!

Oxfam are the biggest rip-offs when it comes to charity shops. They make CEX look fair and honest.

BHF's pricing is more egregious in my experience...

Interesting, thanks. I've been checking out the more moderately priced vinyl on the Oxfam site, plenty of interest there for me but prices still too high.

Did you ever have an ASD429 in your glory days Stuart?

No. I know a dealer that had one and got £2k for it.
