Love the fridge! I can’t draw a straight line either!! It’s so something I would do - and I’d leave it too.

By the time you read this, you will have spent a week with your new students (I think). I hope you had a terrific first week and that fifth grade is as wonderful as you had hoped. (I think it's the BEST grade!) Looking forward to hearing about your new adventures. :)

You have a big classroom. It’s a lot nicer then the portable classroom you were in last year. I would scoot over the desks by you library because the student chairs will get caught up in your rug.

I really wanted to start off by saying thank you so much for your videos. I've had so much fun watching your content including your haul and makeup videos too. I wanted to ask if you can share what materials do you buy for your class, or did your school give you like a starter kit since you were a new teacher. How do you know what you need in order to order it? lol

HI! I made a video on what to buy and what not to buy for your first class! It is here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/pqyKlpmhkpmimII Funding and money depends on the district! So my last district gave us ZERO money for supplies, but they did have a supply closet that we had to ask to pull from. We were only given a limited amount of paper and it was first come first serve. My current district gave us $250 dollars for our classrooms and we were able to shop online at a store called "Southwest" I believe and we got a case of paper a quarter! and no copy limit!! Saves a lot of stress! So its depends on the district. :) Knowing what to order is just trial and error mostly. I wish I ordered more dry erase and 11X17 paper and poster paper. So I will be ordering better next year lol. They didn't give me a starter kit but just look what you have in your classroom and just try to think what you will need. You will get more knowledgeable as time goes on.

Is that an American thing, frigerator? In England I was taught it was a refrigerator, or a fridge. Tables look good that way

Wow wall looks great t. We are a 20% coverage board, which is ridiculous. We aren't even allowed to put paper on bulletin boards. Borders only...😩

@@taramarion3301 oh, ok! Lol. I was just curious. I had never heard of percentages of wall coverage in classrooms until Bre's video and she is from california.....so just assumed u were too. :) I'm from Texas...but I taught public school in Illinois and we could do whatever we wanted in our rooms.

Do groups of 4 with the desks, it looks so much better than 6. the open space in the middle is a waste of space use the space for student desks. You group area against the wall is not going to work out, the tables need to be moved out from the wall. and your sign " we are a sweet class sprinkle kindness" with a coffee cup ??? I don't think it goes well at all use a Donut instead. Redo your refrigerator. it does not seen like you are putting two much effort into your class. It seems to me that as long as you have it done it is done. Work more on your room it does not seem inviting to your New class. Just tips from a teacher of 18 years.

Why comment on someone else's room in such a horrible way? It is not your room, not your taste in decor, not your class. You don't have to like it. Your comment is not something a teacher needs to hear right before the school year starts. She has put a lot of hard work in a classroom that is new to her this year. Maybe you could stop by her room and help her, if you really want to judge.
