I am a homeschooling grandmother. First, I homeschooled my kids, who are older than you. Now, I am homeschooling my grandson, who is in 4th and my granddaughter, who is in K. During covid, I also had 2 other grandkids, nearly the same ages. I want to tell you I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I love your thoughts, ideas, and teaching style. Some observations, I do like a desk for my grandkids. We do have a lot of flex seating, but in our home, I find I get better work when they sit at a desk. The easiest flex seating for us is the lap desk. I will let my grandson use it. We also do reading on the couches. Of course, my situation is way different than yours. There is just something about having a space that is one's own and is off limits to anyone else. I guess I'm the problem because that's me, i want my own little space. Lolol😂 I love your Word Collector story/dictionary. Our curriculum does something similar for vocabulary, but I find the printed booklet that we build is too small. That is easily fixable. Would you do a video when you introduce yours? It would be fun to compare. We do not use the story, so I think I might find it to read to them before we start our next vocabulary booklet. 🤔 I love that you add plants to your classroom. Sweet and homey. We have an orchid in ours, and I'm thinking 🤔 about growing carrots indoors this year. I'm a rock, fossil, mineral, seashell, and sand specimen collector, so we do have those in our classroom also. Your attention to detail makes my organizational heart smile. Your labels are legendary. Thanks for sharing your teacher journey with us all in KZitem land. 😊

I’ve been following you for a couple years. I’ve been teaching for nearly 20 years. This year I’m teaching a combo K-1 class. I’m so grateful for your videos, especially your K-1 year. There isn’t much info about split classes out there. I’ve learned so much from watching you. Thanks for the inspiration. ❤

I am a second-year combo teacher. Last year I taught K1 and this next fall I am teaching grades 1 and 2. I really love all of the flexible seating choices that you have! I teach in a Montessori and we do a lot of work on the floor and we honestly don't even have desks! But I never really considered low tables and seats like you have so I will have to look into that! I really love your classroom feel-MN girl here so camping is our jam around here!!!

Morning! I LOVE your channel and have been following you for the past few years! I teach K in PA (year 24!) Would it be possible for you to share the pictures you took of all your Primary Scout posters? I started doing these weekly in my K class last year but used a pocket chart and I'd like to arrange them on posters and laminate them so we can write on them together. I'm not sure if you could post them on IG or make a video showing all of them- or maybe on your TPT store, etc. Thanks so much!

Laughing so hard at people criticizing you for the “standing table.” Standing is healthier than sitting all day 😅😭 I also love repetitive tasks, but I rarely do that stuff myself anymore: I have 3 aids (sounds luxurious BUT I teach kids with complex disabilities so it’s just a necessity)…the aids get to do all the soothing repetitive stuff!
@animecookies8784

Yes and no with the idea of, "standing being healthier than sitting all day." You certainly do not want to stand almost all day because that can be bad for your health. You want to balance both with of course standing a little more and getting movement.
