In 1884, the French Impressionist painter Claude Monet spent 3 months in Bordighera on the Italian Riviera. For the first time since then, some of the work that he made during his sojourn is being exhibited at the Villa Regina Margerita in Bordighera and the Castello dei Doria in Dolceacqua until 31st July 2019. The exhibition is called Claude Monet - Ritorno In Riviera. We interview two of the exhibition curators, Aldo Herlaut and Silvia Alborno, and locally based artist Linda McCluskey about the show and the challenges that Monet faced whilst working in the region.
