Thank you for the tutorial, very helpful. Question please. You do a one firing process on these using Elements? No bisque firing then glazing? Thank you!

Hello! Yes, a one time firing. I use Mayco stroke and Coats mostly but, I have also used elements. I leave one side, like the inside of the trees open with out anything for out gassing. I'm quite generous with the paint for each coat. I just fire to a cone 06 but you can fire to a cone 04 if you need it to be more durable as most of their paints easily fire to that temperature. I'm so glad that you found the video helpful. Thank you!

Thanks! Any ideas on what I can use to leave nothing in the cone? My studio will not let me leave anything in the cone…paper etc.

Hi Carolyn. You can easily take the cone out. Make sure you leave some space at the bottom to take hold of it. I also like to twist the cone often as I'm working to make sure it's not stuck. Just lightly twist the cone as you go along and you'll be set at the end to just lift it off. I hope this helps.
