All of this is great. I will definitely make this, but I’m gonna leave the fat on because that’s where a lot of the flavor lives. Thanks for the great recipe.

Really lovely. They don't do corned beef in my new country but I sure have US memories of it! You're showing very good basic meat soup technique here. People go mental here if they can't get a leek. I remember in the US they were so rare (I was born in the '50s in Ohio) my family would kind of have a little party when we found one to buy. xo

Hi. I'm new to the channel, so I just found this recipe. My family loves corned beef and cabbage, so I thought I'd give this a try. I'm wondering if this could be done in a crackpot to shorten the cooking time, especially here in Florida where we're already hitting temps in the upper 80's. Thanks!

Why is it that when I cooked "Corned Beef", it is so salty and they just get wasted. I do not want want to make use of the condiments that are packed with it, wash it twice, boil it twice to wash away the salt and then cook it with all the veggies and potatoes, am I doing it right? I yearn for a perfect cooked corned beef so please advise. Thank you.

Corned beef is a preserved meat. Its supposed to be a little on the salty side because that's how people preserved meat before the days of refrigeration. If you don't like the salt level of store bought, you could always brine your own. That way you can control the salt content at the beginning

Hey danny is there any way to shorten the cooking time of corned beef to 1 hour for example can i cut them into the 1 inch pieces and cook for an hour ? Is that gonna work ?

Siaf Alasia cook in a pressure cooker separately . Steep in cold water overnight and throw out the water . This removed the salt ( I'm Irish I know lol)
