First, forgive the lack of post-production. This DIY fix took about 20 minutes to do and I didn't want to invest more time with the video than the fix :-)
I bought this amp used a couple years ago for about $150 and since then it has developed a lot of noise. After giving it some thought the $75 quote, while reasonable, was still more than I wanted to invest in fixing a cheap amp.
Even the $30 price tag of a product called Deoxit was a little steep. So I went to Part Source and picked up a $6 can of CRC QD Electronic Cleaner.
This is my first attempt at this sort of DIY fix on an amp so I was a little nervous that I would mess something up. If you are in the same boat and have any questions about the process I went through that didn't get on the video you are welcome to ask.
Thanks to my daughter Megan for being my camera operator. Great job Megan!
