2 жыл бұрын
@@jonathan13co Did you see the Liverpool Tottenham game? That was a very real situation where VAR messed up. There are so many other instances too. VAR per see isn't the problem. It's the people using the technology who sometimes don't understand the game despite knowing the rules of the game.
@jonathan13co
2 жыл бұрын
@@Ron-tp7em Before VAR we had cotroversies every other week. It was really annoying. Atleast now the good referees have the ability to make things right more often. Regarding the liverpool v spurs game - do I really need to already remind you the main controversy came from kane NOT getting a red for a serious offense? Reputable players/clubs recieving unintentional help from match officials is nothing new and besides the point here. The tackles, both by kane and robertson, deserved to be booked. Those terrible challenges they made do not compare to the ones shown here.
@Ron-tp7em
2 жыл бұрын
@@jonathan13co I agree with you about the Liverpool Spurs game. Both tackles were red cards. VAR and the referees gave one and missed another. They also missed the penalty on Jota. My original comment about VAR was not actually taking sides about whether VAR is a good or bad thing. I think using technology in general can obviously provide a lot more help in making decisions. But it's the referees who make the final call and they need to do so with a better understanding of the game and not just the rules. A few of those tackles in the video would look really hard and aggressive if you play it in slow motion. Some of them could have been fouls/bookings and some not. But if VAR does a forensic analysis of every situation they'll often end up finding something wrong.Its similar to the offside rule, a player shouldn't be judged offside if their fingernail is offside. That's not what the offisde rule is about. But VAR sticks by the rules and would give this offisde.
