A horse corpse and white tailed eagle and fox enjoying it. Then Eurasian Black Vultures come. I am from Turkey. I use trail cameras to capture wild animals.
Generally, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months for a large animal to decompose fully.
In warmer climates with abundant scavengers and insects, decomposition can occur more rapidly, potentially reducing the carcass to bones within a few weeks. In colder climates or areas with fewer scavengers, the process may take several months. Factors such as burial, exposure to water, or protection from scavengers can also influence the decomposition timeline.
