Thank you for the hard work Nami! When I was young, my impression of Kimono is that it is ceremonious and and kind of intimidating to wear but when I was in high school and we had our world literature, our teacher showed us a mini exhibit of Japanese women wearing kimonos. It's like I saw Kimonos on a different light and appreciated its beauty. Thank you for another weekly video! Take care, Nami! 😍

Your videos are always a blend of daily life, cooking, cleaning, self care and craft, and I look forward to them on Sunday mornings in Australia. I was just wondering how Japanese cooks dispose of their oil after frying when you showed how you cleaned and recycled it. I’m glad you’re watching TV on your iPad now, instead of your phone! And wow, your kimono is beautiful and the colours were so calming. Thank you for the privilege of peeking into your world.

As soon as your video dropped, I got my second cup of coffee and settled in to watch! Your kimono is absolutely gorgeous! The colors are so lovely. While it appears time-consuming and complicated, it's a beautiful tradition. Have a lovely weekend!

Hi Nami! Don't use dish detergent to wash your brushes, it'll damage the glue and bristles over time. I recommend a simple gentle soap, best Marseille or neutral. Something you'd put on your face ;)

I'm a pro mua and I use dish detergent and my brushes are far from damaged. I've been washing them like that for ages! Dish detergent removes all kind of oils from the brushes, may them be oils from the makeup (foundation, concealers, creams), or your faces.

I agree, I use baby shampoo and its perfect for cleaning both brushes and beauty blenders. The first time I tried to wash my blenders with dish detergent it was too harsh and even ripped one of them but baby shampoo is gentler..and it smells so nice❤

Every time you change your bed linens, I am reminded of how marvelous it is that your pillow cases have zippers. Ours generally don't here in the US, and I think how nice and secure zippered pillow cases must be!

Thank you Nami for the vlogs. I enjoy watching the scenery of Japan and all the food dishes that you make. It reminds me of the time when I was stationed at the Naval Hospital in Yokosuka when I was in the US Navy. Japan is still my favorite duty station I've been to. Again, thank you.
I love the little electric brush for the kitchen which made me think I need one like they use to polish shopping centre or airport floors! If Nami cleaned my kitchen, she’d never leave. Right then, I’m inspired to go and clear out my freezer and remove all the frozen peas that have escaped🙂
I wait every saturday with pleasure to watch your new video 💕, thank you Nami for being here, for helping me to endure life when sometimes I feel lonely. Take care, greetings from France 🌺🌺

Drill type scrubbing brushes are great! We have big ones for the tub and shower, it makes cleaning go much quicker. At my age, it just hurts too much to spend 15 minutes scrubbing like that! At the veterans' hospitals, they put a very very light finish of orange oil on some surfaces to stop the dust. I hate it because it gets sticky if they are delayed in their cleaning schedule. I've heard to use dryer sheets on baseboards, so I think using fabric softener in water would work the same for keeping dust light on the surface. I've looked for Utamaro, it is impossible to get affordably in the US by mail. Perhaps a Japanese store near the city? Kimono are so complicated, but the tradition is beautiful and meaningful. I love that it is normal to see people in Japan in kimono, yakuta, casual western dress, business attire, and suits all on the same day!

When I was young, our family hosted a singer from Japan. She brought a kimono kit to teach us a little about Japan. I was big enough to fit, so she dressed me in the kimono.... so many parts!! But it was beautiful, and fun to see how it all came together.

Hi Nami, did your Mother teach you how to cook or did you learn from the internet? I'm sure many of your recipes come from the internet. Since my daughter moved out after college, I find it very difficult to cook just for myself. I spend too much money on eating out. Now that I have discovered your videos, I'm hoping your lifestyle will motivate me to do better.
