Blimey, you're brave. A few years ago I a Nikon D7200, cost £950 ish. Sensor got dust on it, so I had a go at cleaning 😱 What a disaster that turned out to be, £950 quid down the drain, or so I thought. Took it to a local camera shop in Weymouth and somehow the owner saved the sensor. Never been so grateful to a shop before. £30 was all it cost to save my £950 camera. I don't think I will ever do it myself again.

Sorry I would never normally comment with a negative on a fellow KZitemrs chanel, but on this video you are potentially showing your followers how to possibly scratch the sensor screen, if you pick up debris on the pass and then as you did wipe with the same side over again it could lead to a damaged sensor Matt 👍correctly as you make the first pass, stop at the end, flip the swab over and swipe gently back in reverse. This will help prevent wiping any dirt you have lifted off the sensor being reintroduced back onto it and possibly scratching it. If the sensor is still dirty, use a new swab and try again 👍 However if you only have a few small bits try holding your camera upside down and use a blower, being careful not to touch the sensor, if that fails, a single gentle pass with a clean but dry swab may solve the issue without the nead for solutions. Hope you don't find this comment too negative Matt, just saw alarm bells on your method 👍 there are some great demo videos out there on a safer method. Most of which are similar 👍

Hopefully a helpful suggestion is a technique to help keep the sensor clean. Keep the camera facing downwards when swapping lenses. Dirt tends not to fall upwards! It becomes less scary cleaning the sensor because as I understand it there is a protective layer in front of the actual sensor. Consequently there is no risk of damaging the sensor itself. That said I would be as hesitant as you Matt!

Also always turn the camera off before changing lenses - the sensor holds a static charge that attracts dust when its turned on

@@mattrichardsonsclickbait I always do. There are other circuits that may be compromised by not switching the camera off.
