Impressive! I prefer beautiful junk silver coins over coins of numismatic value.

I have some brilliant uncirculated ones from that era, they actually had a much more matte finish and a lot of actual luster, not pure reflection.

I can take a coin worth a few dollars, polish it and attach a backing then sell it as a jewelry pin for $20. That quarter still has value, maybe more than you thought.

DjSky I think using Dremel would be too overpolish. It is recommended that you polish it by hand.

AR - Restoration Report dude it lost all of its numismatic value as soon as you cleaned the coin. That silver quarter is worth more than 25 cents you idiot, the silver content is where the value is and cleaning the coin further decreased its value, it was worth more untouched.
@Jonathan-ge1dg

How much was it worth numismaticly vs weight in silver. I'd say if it has no errors from minting and wasn't a proof coin to begin with, it lost no value. May have even gained value to someone looking for a nice display piece.

You collect constitutional silver? Usually people stack constitutional and is only worried about silver content. This guy lives in a foriegn country and used his money to do as he pleases with his coin.
