Couple of points ! in late 70's i was mechanic for a large agri contractor, he ran 4 Standon solo beets (MF135 mounted tractors) and 4 x3 row machines & a Ransomes 2 row self propelled, they were proper sods on real frosty mornings for busting the chain webs, even the large 3 row could go wallop when frozen up, All changed when continental webs came out, best thing I found was to clout webs near a roller, not on a roller or you bloody bust that too.........Log splitter, bastard at my last job used to stick on power stroke, they would spend sod all on it, it cost them dearly, put my working days to an end, I didnt sue them, but boss gave me 15 grand as a goodbuy present, I still suffer to this day damage it did to me.
