To add on to what someone else said... I have this unit in a pretty small space (7x12) and discovered it had built up quite a bit of mold. I could not properly clean it with a paint brush. That may work if it's just loose dust, but I needed to use a spray bottle with a bleach mix and a towel to catch the run-off. For how much mold buildup their was (despite running it continuously per their instructions) I'm shocked there aren't better cleaning instructions for this unit. I think it's been giving me sinus issues for months. But thank you for the videos, I wouldn't have opened it up and found the issue w/o them.

Don't wait 4 years to clean these units. They need annual cleaning. I use a small vaccum with a small soft brush that won't damage the coil fins or blower blades. I gently vaccum off the dust on the coils that got past the filters, usually not much. Then vaccum the blower motor blades. You can be a little more aggressive with the vaccum on the blower as it's more forgiving than the coil fins. As for the outside unit, do not use chemical coil cleaner. A water hose and spray nozzle work just fine. I clean the outside coils more frequently since it draws more garbage through them. But it only takes a minute to rinse it off. I'm going into my third summer with the Senville Leto and so far it has been a reliable unit. Take care of it and it will take care of you.

2023 I have senville Leto model. I’m old. Gladly pay to have it cleaned BUT cannot find someone to do it. Seriously. I was told it has to be taken down and dismantled and the labor charge is so much no one wants it done. One company will only service Mitsubishi brand. Wish I had known this. Can I leave the metal rack an the plastic one off completely? In case I tackle this. Also outside unit gets way dirtier than regular outside units do cause the duct catches a lot of it. I don’t know just saying what I was told. I will be rinsing the outside unit every couple weeks from now on. Did not realize that is so important. Thanks for the video sir

Just seeing your note. I was not able to get my unit completely apart for a better cleaning but what I was able to accomplish improved the performance of the unit significantly. It has been over a year now and I will be cleaning it again in the spring. Wish me luck.

@@martyandhope Thks for your reply. This was the first winter using this heater. Well, whole thing stopped during the freeze. I had ac guy come just to look at it. Made clear they only work on Mitsubishi which I knew from previous call. So for 69.00 he thinks the board on the inside is not working. Then he rinses off the outside and then turns to a/c and fan turns an ac comes on. Well I was so happy. I can live without heater but ac here in Houston is a must. This unit is 1 year old. Installed by a handyman not a professional so no warranty. Anyway, all good.

Call a professional. You need a small pressure washer in order to clean it properly. There is a plastic bib that goes over the unit, and funnels into a 5 gallon bucket. Please clean more often than this one was cleaned, that's a lot of junk being pushed around your house.
