Some of the best adventures are just around the corner, if you give them a chance. With the number of people travelling to enjoy time in the outdoors on the rise, there’s never been a more important time to consider how we can help preserve our wild spaces, both near and far. In an effort to encourage climbers back to local climbing areas, professional climber Maddy Cope has undertaken a project to return some of her local crags to their former glory. In our new series of short films with professional athletes changing the way they adventure in the face of climate change, Cope teams up with sports photographer Lena Drapella to clean some of the classic cliffs in the north of Wales and reflects on the importance of keeping local climbing communities alive.
“A really important part of keeping that community alive is keeping [these crags] clean”
