That was a really helpful video. I just got a Transit and I'm starting the cleaning today. Btw, I'm not sure exactly how your Amazon links work, but they send me to the US store even I'm in Canada so I can't really buy with the affiliated links. I think there's a way for you to have the links redirecting to different stores based on where the person who clicks is, maybe it worth it to check on that!

Seriously want to keep watching! I've very recently made the decision that I am going to convert a van and live in it full time, and thus am doing what most people do-- watch and read everything I can about it. Your layout, with the stove up front is awesome! AND the bench / toilet combo, is something I was thinking about while driving home today-- and I wondered why I hadn't seen someone do it yet... low-and-behold, you did! My only issue: Not all of your build process videos are posted yet! >_< Highly anticipated. Informative. Keep em' comin'!

I just saw an English couple in the UK, doing a conversion, who solved the problem of Fords wiring “solution” by cutting the wires through. They found out this was sort of a problem because they noticed the central door locks weren’t functioning anymore…

Thanks, great video for anyone considering doing a similar conversion. Look for those trouble spots. So many rushes right into converting that they forget to take care of what is essentially the foundation (body and mechanicals) and if you don have a good foundation - what have you got.

Spray Foams Very Careful As They Release Toxic Fumes. :(

Agent/Officer Thomas A. Porter D.P.O., Well, just a bit too generic of a warning. First, ALL insulation off-gases and/or have unhealthy fibers - actually all man made and a lot of natural products (plywood, aromatic cedar, stains and paints. ......). Just look at the safe cotton denim insulation with no chemicals marketed that a person can sleep on it, but huge complaints from users that it is so dusty it will fill your lungs with fibers. Also, just because a foam is formed at the factory into a sheet or a mat does not mean it is automatically safer and does not off gas. Second, lots of different types of foam including latex. Third, trapping internal condensed moisture against the sheet metal can exacerbate the growth of future poisonous molds and vehicle corrosion (closed cell foam is the only product that can eliminate this happening). Forth, some product off gassing stops once the reaction is complete and the product cures. Bottom line is everything is a tradeoff. Everything can be made safe with proper installation. Granted, some installation techniques are not possible in a van. Research.

I'm really enjoying your van conversion videos. I just purchased a 2018, 2500, high roof, 159" WB, ProMaster with the intention of doing my own conversion. The part that concerns me the most is the electrical work. Have you already posted the video of this part of your conversion? Do you plan to have a battery to battery charger to charge your house battery from the engine?

If you have a 4k camera and shoot 4k, use your editing program to zoom in on the video when you do a hard cut (known as a jump cut). It looks more like you set up a new camera setting and didn't just edit out bad takes. If you don't have a 4k camera, just zoom in or out between takes with your zoom lens. That way you can cover up jump cuts easier.

Love your videos - you're so thorough, and I can see how much thought and planning goes into all your decisions. It's really great. Side note: I would ask that you watch the tendency to "vocal fry" the end of all your sentences; it's probably unconscious, but it does detract from being able to hear you clearly. Admittedly, it's a pet peeve of mine, but I also really want to hear everything you're saying. Thanks!
