I have no memory of this show. I was 9 back in 1995 and remember black tv shows like the back of my hand, but not this.

Welll this was a pilot so it may not have been granted to make into a full on series. A lot of shows from on this channel are forgotten black pilots that no one didn’t even know about

@@tarifalston8732 it's not the same woman. Ella English played Helen on "Jamie Foxx". The late Alaina Reed Hall (the one you see here as Garrett Morris' character's wife) was best known as Rose on "227"

These are the ones that made it at least the pilot stage. There are those with great promise that didn't make it to this stage and just died.

I never got a chance to watch this show when it was in primetime. I love Ellen Cleghorne. Her standup comedy is hilarious. SNL had an opportunity to really showcase her comedic talent and charisma. Unfortunately, they missed the chance.

This show is wack. UPN still was more Warner Bros.ish and stomped The WB in the ratings. UPN/Warner Bros./WB flagship. I'm reviving UPN, which was more popular 11 years straight and creating WB, a real Warner Bros. network, no "The" before "WB," no Tribune, no frog, no "dubba," "dubba," "dubba."

I imagine the dad hates white guys so much because he knows that biracial looking little girl ain't his. Yikes, this show was tough to watch, and I really hate how Sherri Shepherd's character was written.
