In early April I decided to chop a couple of the arms of my Cleistocactus Winterii up into small pieces with the intention of rooting and propagating them. After what seemed like a very long wait, there is now clear evidence that this process has succeeded, and the cuttings are now starting to show new side-shoots emerging. It took way longer than I thought it would, but it shows that patience can be rewarded. These have been in a fairly sunny outside location and I have watered them periodically, but allowing plenty of time in between to dry out.
