Three things... 1. The current Browns stadium is right next to Burke Lakefront Airport, and has FAA restrictions on height. That's one more reason for the Browns to leave that location, because to put a roof on it, they'd have to demolish and start over. 2. The new Browns stadium in Brook Park will be built into the ground, so height will not be a factor. 3. Increasing the size of Hopkins Airport may allow the City of Cleveland to get rid of Burke Airport. That should have happened decades ago. That's prime real estate for Cleveland to make into a park like Grant Park in Chicago, or anything else, really. Anything would be better than what it is now; a reliever airport that's an eyesore.

That is why I don't feel that the stadium will be built in Brookpark. Cleveland airport is the busiest airport in the state of Ohio. @@GoalHornGeek I like to compare CLE and PIT to CVG. They are all former airline hubs, but when Delta moved out of CVG, they tore down their oldest, most outdated terminals, which all the non-Delta airlines had previously been crammed into, and the remaining terminals are fairly modern with plenty of open space and natural light. They have many more gates than they need, which means expansion is not an issue anytime soon.

Cleveland Hopkins isn't bad at all. While it's interior design is similar to that of Atlanta and Charlotte it's far better than both of them, because Cleveland has far fewer crowds. Also best Airport I've ever been to is Tallinn, Estonia. Its more like a library than an airport tons of comfortable seating and natural light. (Not the standard airport benches)

The interior of CLE is presentable and the two-tier roadway for arrivals and departures works well. The downside is many of the gates are small, walkways are narrow and ceilings are low; those parts are not up to modern standards in my view. The goos news is they can upgrade in stages over years and not have to have any major shutdowns.

@@schalitz1ATL is the busiest airport in the world, CLE is 43rd in US, so I’m not sure there’s a great comparison there. Most of ATL is pretty modern from what I have seen, and they are currently modernizing / expanding the oldest concourse (I think it’s D) for the reasons being discussed. How they are doing the expansion at ATL is pretty cool BTW, there are some you tube videos on it. CLE is just planning phased upgrades to keep-up with overall growth in air travel. Also, just want to point out the renderings shown in this video are not the CLE upgrade. The narrator mentioned that but it was easy to miss.
