Nice Load, My personal opinion is maybe this could be tiring as you have 1 man dragging 150ft of charged line, What I use for a bumper line is a 50ft Flat load with a 100ft double donut, spins itself right out of the Troff and lays very neatly. Nice Load tho gentlemen

How to wear out the hose selvedges. Don't those threads on the equipment get damaged and difficult operate in dirt and icy cold conditions? The UK ditched threaded hose couplings decades ago in favour of instantaneous couplings.

Well this isn't the UK, it's the US. What works for them doesn't work for us.

Each hose length is 100 feet. 3 hoses is around 300 feet.

I would think standpipe operations or long stretches requiring a 2.5 in supply.

haha. is this like a spoof of how not to roll this load? 1 dude does all the work. and when have you ever loaded hose on a smooth cement slab? try that on the pad right in front of the engine.

When have you ever ‘loaded’ hose on smooth cement slab?? Did you not watch the video?- they just did.

6 years later lol but why is 1 person working a critiquing point? It's a 1 man job. And then if you are having to deploy this hose, you probably have to decon it back at station anyways. You're probably not packing it up for next use right there at scene. I'd do a single roll and toss it up top to take back to station for packing up again

Not sure if you connect anything else to it. But having that load deployed right in front of the engine is a waste for such a beautifully packed hose. If the cross lays have a flat load on one and a Cleveland on the other, then that be pretty sweet. It can come off of any side of the engine also.
@Stargazzer811

Actually laying it on the front bumper is the best spot, since it's a high rise pack. The engine is gonna be hooking to the FDC so all they have to do is grab the pack off the front and go to the fire floor.

@@Stargazzer811 that’s not what I meant. I meant deploying. I used the word “deploy.”

@@BlendedCreeper I know, which is why I clarified by saying it wouldn't be deployed from the front as its a high rise pack.
