As the midpoint of the completion of Sustainable Development Goals, 2023 has been an opportune time to put to the touchstone the progress of the world on the climate front. The end of the year has been punctuated by COP28, which some have hailed as the “beginning of the end of the fossil fuel era” and “the most significant decisions since the Paris agreement” , and others as an “underachiever” like its recent precursors. Whatever the impressions of various experts, what is undeniable is the need of the developed as well as the developing world to integrate Climate Change policies into their day-to-day policy making, whether it is infrastructural development, choosing how to fuel an economy, or something as simple as choice of goods to produce.
