From the archives. A trip from Texas to northeastern Pennsylvania to buy some line shafting equipment in early 2000s was made more interesting by a stop at Durbin, West Virginia. Operating that day was one of the more unusual steam locomotives. A Climax geared logging locomotive. The travel schedule did not allow for a ride that day but at least there was something operating to see. The railroad line was once part of the Chesapeake & Ohio's Greenbriar Subdivision.
