Mother's Day Buttress is an 8-pitch, 330m mixed trad rock climb up a prominent buttress near Cascade Falls in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.
The day before Mother's Day, Daniel Gunn and I ventured up the route in just over 3 hours. We opted to climb the 5.7 variation which links pitches 2 and 3, providing an interesting vertical section to the otherwise rambly route.
This is a great beginner trad route in the Bow Valley with a nice hike on the way down.
