Is it the same when transposing down a minor third?
@FrankMGarcía

What about chords? if a transpose a piece from C major to e minor, a major third up, I see that my first C mayor chord has an e note that turns into G sharp four semitones up. But there is no G sharps in e minor. The first chord in e minor is E, G, B. Please, I am completely confused : (

Are there tools that help with automating the transposition of hard copy sheet music? As in creating new printouts?

emeeeych You can scan the music then open it in Finale make music then if you have many pages transpose everything in few seconds, I’m not kidding, try it!

But does it sound better before or after transposing? :)

Given what the question is asking, the sounding notes would be exactly the same.
