The goal of this webinar is to enable the general veterinary practitioner to more confidently diagnose congestive heart failure and to skillfully manage the clinical manifestations of severe cardiac disease as it progresses. Topics that will be discussed include:
• Diagnosing congestive heart failure by using the combination of physical exam findings, thoracic radiographs, and NT-proBNP blood work.
• Treatment of acute, severe pulmonary edema.
• Discussion of the management of clinical canine and feline cardiac disease once these patients leave the hospital - how often should our patients follow-up? What medications should be added when there are clinical relapses? Specific case examples will be presented.
Our speaker, Michelle Rose, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology), is one of our board-certified veterinary cardiologists.
