The Kenya Union of Clinical Officers are demanding a seat down with both arms of government to resolve the stalemate that have seen clinicians down their tools for 58 days today. The cadre is demanding a review of salaries for UHC clinicians, risk allowances as well as the absorption of a section of the lot as permanent staff. The Union’s National Chair Peterson Wachira, while leading protests alongside Coast Chapter members in Mombasa, is calling on the Council of Governors to negotiate an amicable return-to-work formular that will end the strike.
