"When I Said I Do" is a song written by American country music singer Clint Black, and recorded by Black and his wife Lisa Hartman Black as a duet. It was released in August 1999 as the first single from Black's album D'lectrified. The song reached the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and the Canadian RPM Country Tracks chart. It also peaked at number 31 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, making it a crossover hit. It is one of only two chart singles for Lisa Hartman Black. The song was later covered by then-husband and wife Kenny Lattimore and Chanté Moore on their album Things That Lovers Do.

Clint Patrick Black (born February 4, 1962) was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, the youngest of four children born to G.A. and Ann Black, and lived in nearby Red Bankis He is an American country music singer, songwriter, musician, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and actor. Signed to RCA Records in 1989, Black's debut album Killin' Time produced four straight number one singles on the US Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. Although his momentum gradually slowed throughout the 1990s, Black consistently charted hit songs into the 2000s. He has had more than 30 singles on the US Billboard country charts, twenty-two of which have reached number one, in addition to having released twelve studio albums and several compilation albums. In 2003, Black founded his own record label, Equity Music Group. Black has also ventured into acting, having made appearances in a 1993 episode of the TV series Wings and in the 1994 film Maverick, as well as a starring role in 1998's Still Holding On: The Legend of Cadillac Jack.
Lisa Hartman Black (born June 1, 1956 is an American actress and singer.
Hartman grew up in Houston, Texas. In 1991, she married musician Clint Black; and, in 2001, the couple had a daughter, Lily Pearl Black. They have lived in Nashville, Tennessee since 2002 after living in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, California.After some minor television appearances, Hartman starred on the short-lived Bewitched spin-off, Tabitha during 1977-78. She subsequently appeared frequently on television in guest roles, and appeared in the 1981 CBS TV remake of Jacqueline Susann's Valley of the Dolls, as Neely O'Hara.
