Corrugated pipe is crap, sooner or later it’ll collapse or deteriorate. More interested on how you cleaned the dryer vent. Great vid, and love your sense of humor 👍👍

I’ve been doing drains for years and honestly gotta be very careful in that corrugated piping. It’s so cheap… and most of the time it’s completely packed with mud/roots. Normally I run a camera if possible and see where it’s blocked and dig it up if it’s not deep at all… or give an estimate to run sch40 pvc.. depending on condition of old the old corrugated Good job Homie love your videos have for awhile 🎉

only spearhead bits in corrugated(no sharp tips), unless you want to shred it apart and if there's any elbows or bends forget cleaning it with a snake at all. it may follow gentle sweeping radius turns, but even then.

Blue monster drain cleaner is great. Another brand is insta-flow that works about the same heat activated

Yea... I've had a few jobs putting in drainage like that not very fun . When we installed it we can 12x12 papers on top of it like we would to protect a water pipe. Also we put a small section of schedule 80 inside the last 8 feet of the pipe so it couldn't collapse like that. Glad it's fixed but like I always say watch that liability!

Maybe it's time to invest in that drain camera check it out then go from there?

Yea it's definitely a different animal. I do have a camera but I keep it at home. It's hard to justify using it cus extra time and everyone is trying to penny pinch

I use cheap 50ft az brand snake cams and the $30 to $50 camera dies oh well most of thoes companies will send you at least one replacement in a year minimal risk.

I bought the cheap Amazon set-up for my pressure washer and sure the hose is junk but for those jobs they work extremely well. My set up is a shutoff instead of the wand I have a commercial jetter hose and tips but the cheaper hose does work for straight lines. A 4 gpm 3500psi pressure washer cuts roots and you'd be surprised all the dirt and roots come floating out of the drain pipe. Just another tool in the box. Plus I could use it for frozen lines if I had too. Would be a pain in the ass in the winter but the money for a frozen drain line opened up is worth it. Every end has the quick connect ends so I can swap from wand to line after the shutoff.

Regarding sluggish bathroom sink drains...old fashion baking soda and vinegar often works great too.

That black corrugated plastic pipe is worthless. It's not a matter of if , but a matter of when that pipe will collapse and/or become blocked with dirt, leaves and debris. Smooth 4 inch PVC is better suited for exterior drainage.

I think you might do better with some ordinary manual drain rods there, Brian. Presumably it's a fairly straight run, so you don't need the flexibility of the spring?

You should never snake corrugated pipe and you should put a pop up at the end of the pipe instead of it just ending in the grass!
