@@TheUrbanNemophilist ok mine does that. Also it’s not foggy which seems like it’s a good sign. The water in my false bottom doesn’t reach the soil so I guess that’s the most important

Why should we limit the usage of moss if we don't have springtails?

Sometimes wet moss can be prone to mold

@@TheUrbanNemophilist okay cool very good info man thank you Yes I think I have a terrarium with a lot of moss and it got really moist and when I open it it doesn't smell fresh it smells like a mildew even though I don't see any mold.

Is it a closed or open terrarium. I am guessing closed in which case the condensation will give you an idea of watering is needed. If there’s no condensation at all and the soil feels dry you can mist it lightly first. Close the lid and observe for a few days.

How is it closed if you recommend opening it?
@TheUrbanNemophilist

It means it’s kept closed and not permanently open. It’s also not sealed which means permanently closed. I have tried to explain in this way. Others may have a different way of explaining.

You can buy online if you have sellers in your country or you would have to develop a culture of your own

@TheUrbanNemophilist

@@iichikun8189 depends on the climatic region you are in and the type of plants you have. If it’s an open succulent terrarium then the watering should be less as an when top soil gets dry. If it’s a tropical plants terrarium you need to water more often.

@@iichikun8189 then you can mist everyday. Since its an open terrarium you will need to keep a close watch to check how dry or wet the soil is.

Sorry for too many questions sir but if I order lights for the terrarium is timer necessary or only lights will do ? Can u share the link of the timer which u bought and importance of the timer as well?
@TheUrbanNemophilist

If you can turn off lights manually then timer is not needed. Timer is needed to have a consistent photo period of light and darkness everyday so that plants can engage in photosynthesis as well as respiration. I will add the timer link in the description
