When I first started to wear wigs my husband would give me a name for who I was depending on which wig I wore. He would make a little game of asking me, "which one of my girlfriends am I taking out tonight?" It's been a lot of fun and I've noticed that my personality is a little different with each one, as is my self image.

Love all you're videos. You're positive attitude is so helpful to all of us. I just wore a wig in front of my family at my niece's bridal shower. I kept thinking to myself what you said "It's all about what's under the wig." I was a nervous wreck for nothing. I'm currently looking at a wig to wear to my niece's wedding in September. I want to go blond. Would I look good in Heidi? I'm looking for a blond with a dark root. Please help me with a suggestion. I completely trust your suggestions. Hello and congrats! You are on your way to great joy and freedom in your wig wearing! I think JR Heidi is a universally flattering style. Heidi has a lot of volume and permatease, however, so keep that in mind. Her sister JR Rachel is handtied and has no permatease (on the piece that I have).. it gives a more subtle volume than Heidi. I hope this helps! XOXO

Hi, what did you do to keep it out of your face? would you suggest to cut long layers around the face or am looking for trouble just leave it alone....with these wavy wigs I usually mist them with water to tame the hair down before I put the wig on as it dries you don't get that fluff when it dries.....I've read some reviews it's too much hair you can't brush these wigs just use a wide tooth comb for the tangles unless you want a lion look it will kill the life of the wig...I have worn wigs for 30 years even when they weren't in style..... I've' screwed my share of wigs in the past...If isn't much trouble can you list the products you used in the video.....does the hand tied cap have any ventilation ? in my opinion the longer wigs look really great on you.... makes you look younger and please take that as a compliment you are beautiful ... thanks have a great day.....
@TAZSWIGCLOSET

Veronica Taylor Thanks Veronica! I secure the sides with accessories and clips when needed. You could add layering in Sarah for sure. It’s a lot of hair and I only use a wide tooth comb, never brush. I don’t use brush on any Wigs actually. I use very minimal products in the hair as it attracts dirt and causes more frequent washings. There is no ventilation in a handtied cap.. it traps heat and may not be the best option for summer and warmer climates. Hope this helps. XOXO TAZ

Hi Taz, This was a wonderful video. I have heard other say about the fabric softener yet I was unsure. Now that you said you have done this I am going to try this and the silicone also. Thank you for always giving us wig wearer's so much good information. I agree with you about the cost of these (all ) wigs yet we are worth it for are state of mind I believe. I use to get my hair done every 4 weeks cut color highlights and low lights ( not always all at the same time) and my cost was around $150 to $180. So when I get told Wow! those wigs are costly, I just say what do you pay to get your hair done they then see it's really about the same. I can get 6 months out of a wig because I do take care of them. So I really am saving money even though I do buy the wigs. I am never without some new one's as backups. I am always finding I do this with everything. I just want to Thank you so very much because I truly do believe you have given me so much just buy watching your amazing video's on these beautiful wigs. Your are a beautiful lady. God Bless 💕

Hey Taz! A question about static...have you ever just used Static Guard? Thoughts on that? I've had issues with static over the years of course, and used to carry a travel size spray with me in my purse. Hated walking into stores, past a mirror, and realizing it looked like I had just stuck my fingers in a light socket. So when I anticipate a problem, I would give a very quick spray, smooth it out over the hair, and THEN walk into the store.

What a great idea! This is the first I've heard of it, but it makes sense. I will definitely give it a try when static seasons comes! I used to carry around dryer sheets in my bag.. but the smells nauseated me and I didnt think they worked well enough to continue..lol. XOXO

Hi Angel. I am very open about wearing wigs. I don’t mind if everyone knows. This gives me the freedom to change my style from day to day and make it fun! Modern wigs are very realistic and convincing. But you’ll have to get your mind past the the anxiety, shame or guilt you may be feeling. Experiment with one around the house for awhile until you’re comfortable in it and then gradually come out in public.. hope this helps! XOXO

Sally Good Hi Sally! Scarlett is another style that is so inconsistent. Unfortunately the way your Scarlett is right out of the box is how it will be. You really look good in all the wigs you reviewed. I have watched a lot of videos , so far, you give detailed information that's very helpful. I purchased my first Wig Zara petite and I was totally disappointed. It's too small for my head and I only wore her once. I want to use wigs to take a break from coloring my hair and I would like a change in my look. I am thinking of Rachel by Jon Renau , for my second wig, however , I have straight hair and a little hesitant on Rachel, since she has curly hair, which I always wanted and don't want to waste money again if it doesn't suit me.

Hi Taz - great review! Thank you so much for your comments regarding your experiences when you receive your wig and it looks different from the manufacturer pictures 💕. I go through this every time I get a topper or wig. Never the color I thought it would be or the fibers don't fall in the manner it does on the pictures. 😪. I now know I'm not alone 😍. I always thought I was doing something incorrectly when ordering or I might be using the wrong company to order wigs. Have a beauty filled day! 💋.

R. wigs, both in 12FS8, Shaded Prauline, and I"m not sure I'm going to keep them, I got Elle, and Haute, and the Haute is worse than the Elle, but that color you say your wig is, looks orangish gold on my wigs, and the Haute's roots are very dark! Hi, I’m new to wigs, I ve owned jon renaus mila for 6 months now and have been washing and conditioning it with Jon Renau products. It’s it feels a bit frizzy now and has lost its bounce and sheen. Is there anyway I can restore it by myself. Don’t want to spend 100 on getting it treated coz it’s not that bad yet. It just started showing signs of wear. Thank you.. any advice will help me.

You might consider investing in a Jon Renau Wig Steamer to smooth the ends:-XOXO

I was so excited that you and cysterwigs have joined forces. There is one wig that I haven't seen a wig review. It is Gabor Next Belle in sunkissed beige. I was thinking of getting this wig, but I wasn't sure. I have 2 Raquel Welch wigs, Voltage and Pitch Perfect and I love them both. I would like to try a curly wig. Have you seen this wig and could you do a review of it? I would appreciate it. Thanks, Carol. PS. I really look forward to your wig reviews. You look beautiful.

Hi Carol. I have not seen the BELLE or any other style from the by Gabor Next line.. maybe take a look at Tony of Beverly KENZIE in T Platinum.. very cute and similar I think! cysterwigs.com/collections/tony-of-beverly-wigs/products/kenzie-by-tony-of-beverly

peach Hi Peach! Yes, I believe the color in the HD fiber is a bit lighter than its synthetic counterpart. And the HD fiber is much less shiny too. XOXO

Sarah and Julianne are my favorite wigs. I would love to get another of each. Julianne in 12fs8 and Sarah in a brunette or red. I too am paranoid about wearing out/ruining long wigs. I damaged my Alessandra last year. Not sure how. She is now a bob. Kinda looks like Emilia. I used to shop around but now only cysterwigs. They do have the best sales. IF I could afford to buy a wig every time they had a sale, my closet would look like yours. :)

Hey Taz! I've been experiencing awful hair loss ever since I turned 18. I am now 38 and I use hair clip-ons and other products that cover the bald spots etc. It has gotten to a point where it looks terrible and unnatural. I have been devastated for a looking time. I literally wanted to die because of that. I know a lot of people will say that this isn't enough a reason to feel this way and that there are way worst things one can experience, and I agree. But this has literally been a terrible ordeal for me, and I have fallen into severe depression ever since my late teens because of it. I have lost my social life, I have withdrawn from everything and everyone. I do want to feel better, and wigs seem to be a wonderful solution. I just fear that people won't accept me for who I am, I fear they will always feel sorry for me as they do right now. It is very hard to go through life not being able to open up and show the world the true you, without being afraid you will be turned down. Sorry for the long comment. I just wanted you to know that your video has given me a reason to smile today. 😘

Χαρά Κ. Hello and thanks for the comments! I can really sense your pain. Wigs have changed my life and I am out here in front of everyone in hopes of spreading the word. I think Wigs would be a great solution for you. It sounds like you don’t have anything to lose by trying. It takes some work, but worth it. In my experience , successfully wearing wigs is 10% the wig and 90% the attitude we have. If you find a wig that makes you feel beautiful and like yourself again, wear it and hold your head high. You don’t have to apologize or explain to anyone. Have confidence, smile and have a positive outlook. I had similar fears too, but I was determined to overcome it. I wish you wellness and happiness. XOXO TAZ

Loved this review. I haven't purchased a JR as yet, but I have 10 girls now mostly RW, Noriko & Rene of Paris. I can't quite come up with the right color in JR. I did however just receive RW "Spotlight" Thanks to your review :-).

I know you're teamed up with Heather, but you need to try out the $29 Adele from Especially Yours. I have it in a platinum and a silver. they're so fun!! I get more complements on that than just about any one I have! been rocking my new Soft and Subtle in Sandy Blonde! I love it. mine is more curly than some I've seen on KZitem and that makes me happy! my ignite from Heather's birthday is on backorder and sent out 11 days early! I'm excited to wear it to my granddaughter's first day of Kindergarten! I can't wait to see the martini in real life! ok, I'm always so danged windy! 😂

Amanda Marie Hi Amanda! Rachel is a beauty! It's 4.5oz so that's getting up there in terms of weight. I can tell you that I wear Rachel in the summer time with ease. I pull it back and into updo's with confidence because it's handtied.. no wefts! Handtied caps trap heat though. 😞. I would try to find a style under 4oz that is open wefted for ventilation and try going for a rooted color so you can style it off the neck and face without exposing wefts so obviously. Hope this helps! XOXO TAZ
