In this short video Chris Searles explains his rationale for “cloud-making” at home in Texas after The NorthWest and SouthWest Projects. Something shifted in late September and the 48 continuous United States have largely been without rain ever since. This is the opposite of what’s needed everywhere. Parts of the Northwest USA are more than 30 inches short on rainfall for the last 365 days. In Central Texas landscapes are often about 5 inches short. Cloud-making buffers these deficits, reduces wildfire potential, enhances cooling and beautification, and capacitates the landscape for rain acquisition from above as soon as possible.
