Most useful explanation I've found about the difference between a clove hitch and a constrictor knot.

When I attempted to use the constrictor knot to lash a bamboo and create a tripod, I noticed that it provides more grip than the clove hitch. I highly recommend this knot.

Speaking as an ex level 3 rope access safety supervisor and being a climber for over 30 years (but don’t climb anymore) I confirm that you are VERY CORRECT

I've been trying to get a constrictor knot and failing but apparently my failure is a clove hitch?

How hard is a constrictor knot to disassemble after its had a lot of weight/tension on it? The beauty of a tow hitch with an extra hitch to lock it, is how easily it can be removed, so a person can quickly resume their job.

It’s really really difficult, it’s what in farming is known as a king knot because we usually just cut them off😂

Just take a byte and put a slip into it. Just as secure and still releases.

Your only tying your bands with constrictor knot now?

No. In my previous video I had a few comments that my constrictor knot was a clove hitch
