Ok HOLD UP. Cher is the narrator of this world. We see mostly see the world of Clueless through her eyes, it is meant to be stylistic and mostly open for interpretation. She is interesting because she follows the rich popular high school IT girl archetype while being a multidimensional female character who is still likeable. She is kind and she wants to help the people around her. She is reflective, she experiences feelings that push her to improve on herself. She takes care of the people around her like her father. She makes sure he eats well to take care of his hear. She takes care of Ty albeit a bit misguidedly because helping her become popular and having a boyfriend for Cher is the greatest gift she could give to any American Highschool teenager.

I'm so glad y'all had the same reactions to this movie as I did omfg. I felt the same way when I watched it, I was so confused how it became so popular😅 people are so quick to argue that they weren't really related but ITS STILL FUCKIN WEIRD OKAY. your reactions were 10/10😂

This movie is based on Emma the Jane Austen novel where she gets with her sisters brother in law who is besties with her dad. But it’s also inspired but the directors grandparents who where step siblings, so she took inspiration off of that. Still is weird

The sister's brother-in-law isnt super weird cause in my family there are 2 sorta similar relationships. My aunts (sisters unrelated to my family) married a brother of my dad's and a brother of my mom's. Its mostly the second fact in this post that bothers me. Also why cant some people just be fine with others being uncomfortable with the dynamic.

As someone who watched the movie a bunch as a kid, it took me an embarrassingly long time to see the signs about Christian were laid out throughout the movie the whole time. Re- watching as an adult I was like 🤯🤯😵

Paul Rudd was her step brother for like 3 years because their parents were only married for a really short time. It’s not weird at all they fell for each other really
