This video features CN's RSC-14 locomotives. These road switchers were built from MLW RS-18 locomotives, with six axle trucks taken from older locomotives. The locomotives were derated from 1800 to 1400 horsepower and were used for branch line service where heavier locomotives could not operate. They roamed much of the Maritimes including Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. The video features a lot of Halifax content but also includes the Salem and Hillsborough Railroad's #1754 hauling passengers.
