I have gone threw 2 of those cheap misters. They always find a way to get crushed by my tool changer. Badass gift BTW!

I made the majority of the video last year and have since found an optimal setup. When I say optimal this is with regards to getting cooling, chip clearing and being able to capture video without the camera getting soaked in oil. I now have a 20 litre barrel of water sat on top of the machine. Within the water is something like 1 to 2 percent typical coolant oil so that when I blow it out of the cheap mister the entire machine doesn't fog up. I am also using a pair of steel bladed extractors since plastic versions will likely degrade as coolant oil passes over them. I have previously run experiments using oil, air and water separately where the water by its self does a real good job but isn't quite as good on the finishes because it lacks lubricity and hence now why I put a couple of percent oil in to water. If I were to use the machine with no filming taking place then flood coolant would be the way to go if anything just to keep the air compressor noise down. Machine coolant oil is a pain to have in the small workshop and in larger production environments however it does off the fastest speeds, gives the best finishes and of course helps prevent rusting. I have used Blaser Swisslube products for over 10 years as the MSDS info looks good with regards to chemicals and respiratory health. There are no issues with skin like that either but it does eat plastic, especially Gopro housings lol. Thanks for the comment 👍

Not technically demanding by any means but built to last nonetheless. A gift for a family member where perhaps they can hang it on a shed, porch or some other garden fixture at some point in the future.
