The place I work has no dust collectors on the routers. The dust just blows all over the place. Considering calling OSHA about this.

Yeah that’s really messed up. You should ask about it and if nothing changes definitely report it.

Wish I found you before I spent $1k for the original Shop Sabre dust dock that took 12” off of my Y axis. Just Ordered yours, very excited to gain ghat spade back without having a big mess around the table after every cut 👍🏻

Wow good difference between the two. I was really impressed that chips that escaped the brushes even got pulled back in. I have a onefinity. But I feel like these are a whole new world

Yeah, longer brushes make more contact with the work for better results...kind of common sense.

Good job man. I am thinking adding a adjustable compress air line inside the dust boot, to blow out any remaining chip that stuck deep inside.

Such flexible brushes seem to me they would fold and suck in towards vacuum.

Only rarely is there an issue where bristles get sucked in. They are in fact pretty stiff

This is awesome but I'm curious how much of this contributes to the upgraded 5" ducting vs the design. Would love to see your design with a 5" to 4" reducer and 4" hose for a better comparison

It's some design, but port size is a huge factor. You can't makeup cross-section so once you go down you'll never get that volume again past that point in a system. 5 to 4 is a 36% drop in volume the best case. Our 5-to-4 Reducer kit very transparently a big downgrade but some just don't have the option for a larger duct than that. I need to make smaller baby pants for my little X-Carve, I hate the dust boot it came with.

I’m going to go see if this will fit my ShopSabre 23 with 2.2 HP HSD. It looks like it might. One thing this looks to have is also better clearance when working with thin pieces and the whole head has to be much lower, near clamps.

Hey. I don’t think our standard 100mm mount will. If you measure the nose and send us the diameter we might have a new option coming

@@pdxcnc You’re right. The 1.7kw spindle looks to be 80mm diameter. Looking forward to new options you’re coming out with.

Do you have a file for sale, but for a 4inch intake?
@pdxcnc

We won’t be selling any files. Also probably not a 4-inch option either. The upgrade is primarily that it’s a 5-inch port which provides much more air volume.

You could definitely use the one we have but just use a 5 to 4 reducer.
