All that GREAT RAILROAD, torn up...and I know to this day, it could have really made a difference! :)

Thanks for posting. My dad and I got on an Electroliner at this station in 1962, rode it to Milwaukee, and returned on a train of green cars. The only real interurban trip I ever took.

I am from Ohio and my late grandparents lived in Racine, Wisconsin. In 1962 I rode the CNSM with my grandmother and sister to Milwaukee where we met my mother and and aunt. We went and shopped at Gimbel's Department Store which was one of the happiest days of my childhood. A friend of mine in Racine had said railroad in his backyard. I had a B&0 freight train in my backyard.

I played on the former right of way all the time as a kid, and walked across it to Webster Jr. High. I remember there were still remnants of the catenary supports for a while. I didn't know of their significance until much later

I had the pleasure of riding the North Shore many times in my youth, but I never rose the ElectroLiner. My father said it was kind of like being on a PCC when you were on street trackage on Mitchell Street in Milwaukee.

Very good color footage, but where was this exactly, in or near what town, in which state?

It seems the spurs were located both along side of the station and north of the street too or do I have that wrong?
